Methodology

This survey was conducted by Centerline Research & Strategy from September 26 to October 1, 2026. The original sample included 1,570 U.S. adults age 18 and over: 1,145 from a nonprobability online panel provided by RepData and 425 probability-based text-to-web respondents sampled from the voter file. The updated analysis includes 1,463 respondents after 107 cases flagged for response-quality concerns were excluded. TrueDot.ai managed sampling and fielding. Responses were screened for attention, completion time, and suspected bot or AI behavior.

Responses were weighted to Current Population Survey estimates for age, race, education, gender, income, and voter registration, and the 2024 presidential election results. Percentages exclude missing answers and include “Not sure.” Combined responses are calculated before rounding. Percentages may not total 100% because of rounding.
